An excellent way to grow, keep, and challenge your CorelDRAW skills is to rebuild artwork that you find interesting.
This is an example of a sign I briefly saw in a youtube video. I took a screenshot, and redrew everything as vector shapes.
When you work as a production artist, you need to be able to confidently redraw and rebuild simple art like this, and with minimum nodes... no auto tracing.
The lettering style is like graffiti letters that really pop off the page. Notice how even the shadow for each letter is layered over top of the next letter following it.
The black crescents are each a little bit different and have an organic feel which leads to the charm. They are only 2 cusp nodes per shape.
Again, anything that catches your own attention - grab it and study it. Then try to rebuild it from scratch.
