Attempting to get a weathered crackle finish on this abstract form. 100 percent Corel Draw with a bit of gradient mesh.
Oh, I might add, after vectorizing it I combined all the vectors then used the trim tool to trim the crackle vectors to fit the shapes.
Hi Mo,
Pretty simple really. I got a sample swatch or square of a crackle finish at a local paint store that had a good contrast to it. I then scanned it, reduced the color to black and white then used the auto trace in Corel Draw to vectorize the pattern. That way I can make the crackle any color I choose. It makes the file size fairly large but it's still manageable.
How did you do this crackle effect? Vector, Pattern or bitmap? I am trying to get that effect since a while!
