Hi there,
This has been an issue I have been experiencing for a long time. I'm currently on CorelDraw2020 subscription. Each time I purchase an Scalable Vector (.eps) from stock, I'm unable to edit the file. I have done everything under the sun but still no joy. My colleagues in the industry using illustrator has no issues opening the same file that I am unable to open in CorelDraw.
Any solutions?
Normally, EPS files can be both Opened and Imported into Draw.If you "Place as encapsulated Postscript" on import, though, the file can not be edited.Did you choose to also install Ghostscript when you installed Draw?Upload the file that doesn't work for you so we can have a look at it.
Hi Ronny,
Thanks for responding. I have tried importing as editable text, and "Place as encapsulated Postscript" as well but still could not edit the files.
Regarding Ghostscript; not sure if I did though. How do I check that?
Ok, now how do I upload the file...? Each time I tried uploading the eps file I keep getting an error massage
I believe the easiest way to check for Ghostscript is to open the Windows start menu, All programs. There should be a folder called Ghostscript with one or several versions in it.The recent version is 9.22, I think.Ghostscript can be installed via the Draw suite's setup procedure.Try zipping the eps, or if it still doesn't work, try uploading to a free uploading service.
Is this a Photoshop EPS?
If you can share the file I can try to do some test.
