New object invisible until the file is SAVEd.

I don't really know how to ask this.but when I make a new object in an existing file, the new object isn't visible until I save the file.

Could it be a "layer" issue? Did I change a setting?

The file doesn't contain a lot of objects ,or very complicated ones.


Any ideas?
