Hello, I recently was tasked to learn Corel Website Creator. I am running version X6. I am having trouble using the E-Commerce function. I have made a page for products. I have inserted a field using the E-Commerce tool. I have populated my catalog with products and content (pictures, descriptions, pricing, part numbers, etc.). Yet, when I click "done", nothing is filled into the E-Commerce field. It is just a white field with a green border around it. Some things that may be notable:
1. I am running Website Creator X6 on Windows 8.1
2. The small Corel load window that pops up sometimes when the program is making several changes seems to stop very quickly and doesn't appear to finish after clicking "Done" in the Catalog Properties window.
3. In reviewing the code, I can find the definition of the size and shape of the E-Commerce field that I had drawn and a call to run Corel's E-Commerce javascript (store.js), but there is no code for the catalog itself. All I can find in the code are notes left by Corel.

I am having exactly the same problem. I configure the store then click on DONE and all I get is a blank page.
You'd think there would be a simple answer, and there probably is, but nobody out there will tell me (us). It's not in the documentation, and this is the first post I've found on the issue anywhere. I've been searching for a solution for a while now. I've tried it on two different computers, one with XP and one with Windows 7 - same results - nothing on the page except an empty box.
I've been using Website Creator X6 for a little while now and I have to say it is one of the most difficult programs I've ever used. Very tough to learn. But now that I'm starting to figure it out I like it and the results are good. . . until I try something new and it doesn't work and I spend hours and hours trying to figure it out.
I'm still trying to figure it out and when I do I will post a reply.
It might be a problem with the actual program because I got this error message: Corel Website Creator has encountered a problem and needs to close.

I don't use this program but I am going to offer you some suggestions generally that might be doing what you see and I am just guessing. Most all ecommerce carts need a data base that lives on a server called SQL unless you use a third party check out like Paypal's $5.00 monthly plan w/buy now button.. When you load a "page" into a browser there is a "query(s)" on that page to the data base to populate that page. A data base must be set up prior to installing a storefront. (data base name, user, password and path to where it is.)
Did you set up a data base for your store? When I look at the top post it look like it is missing: Where is cat 1 living?
Most interactive web docs are "php" and not "html", if yours are php do you have a local server to work with so you can see everything?
