Hi,
Fresh installation on a newly built PC of Corel Draw GSX7.
Update 6 installed along with hotfix 1.
However, when doing many different things (no one cause), I am finding performance slow.
Checked in task manager and when Corel Draw is on a go slow, it appears it is only maxing out a single CPU and the system is doing nothing.
PC has Windows 7 x64, SP1 with 24 cores and 128GB RAM.
Any ideas?
So your system has 2 $7,000 server processors?
It is not a big dial. My workstation is about 4 years old; With a xeon e52620 6 core and 12 threads. Price of CPU is about 200$. On mainboard is one more processor socket, if i buy same cpu, i would have 12 cores (24 threads). I checked cpu usage on a hard job (with corel draw); one core has 100% usage, all others are almost empty, some of them parking (like turned off). I think, corel x7 and illustrator cs6 are cannot use full of system resources. AutoCAD can do it. Of course, it is not a graphic design software but an example for hardware optimisation.
