Hi, I am confused with Corel's conditions and I would like some clarification.
I have CorelDRAW X3 clip-arts and I have downloaded Drawings demo to do some embroidery on my wife's (Brother PR620)
Can I use the clip art images as a starting point and modify them so it can be used to be embroidered??

I have used both Drawings and Deco Studio with CorelDraw and will caution you to only use VERY SIMPLE clip art for conversion to embroidery. wireframe view it is best that there are no intersecting lines.
Thank you for your reply but I think I did not make myself clear, I was talking about CorelDRAW copyright clip art material that comes on the CD.
Could we use them as part of an embroidery work, personal or private?
I have used Drawings X3 to do some embroidery work and I can hold my own but I am wondering about the usage of Corel cilp art material.

As far as I am aware, they are royalty free. You can use for personal and commercial use.

Thanks Steve.
I've asked the same exact question myself, several times.
I even contacted Corel corporate office for clarification and still haven't recieved a definitive response.
It's a cloudy area, for sure.
I'd love to know the answer. I'd love to know if the licensed images included with our Corel liscense affords us the ability to use the images with embroidery as well as graphic design.
You would think it would, but......................
Places like iclipart expressly say the opposite for their images.
They are very clear in their statement.
While you can use them in making a graphic design you aren't allowed to transform them into an embroidery piece.
Very strange.
Very confusing.
Gerard..............are you out there???????????????
I find it really silly if Corel puts some sort of limitations on their clip art.
I don't see the point in using their clip art or offering it as a bundle package if they limit their use in the real world.
Hi.
I agree, plus they got more to deal with than tracking down every one out of a million designs out of thousands of users, of clipart they sold. Much less the billion dollars it would take to prosecute even if.
You bought the art, you can use it in your work, you just can't re-sell the clipart as clipart.
