We want to move Designer 12 to a new computer, the old one has been sold and the software removed, but we keep getting the "Activation Limit" reached on trying to register the product. Since we update computers every year and we've owned Corel Designer 12 since 05, it seems like Corel arbitarily decides how long you can use your own purchased product.,
Is there a way around this?
It would appear that Corel needs an automatic deregistration system like most cad programs have, or else should allow only one active product at a time, like other cad products do. Thoughts?
Simply contact the Corel Customer Service and they will help you out (http://www.corel.com/contactus).
Looks like you have to pay $20 for support in order to talk to them about reactivating when you've gone over the limit. I've reinstalled CorelDraw X6 many times because I've changed computers 3 times and reinstalled the OS as well. I also have a laptop I put it on. I can understand a locking limit, but if you can prove you bought it, you shouldn't have to pay to reactivate. Honestly, I've been quite disappointed with customer support policies.
Hi
You gotta log in and then uninstall, then you can install without a limit.
