Forum posts do not appear in Outlook Express

Hi,
   A short while ago, the text of posts on the Forum would appear in a news group which could be accessed by Outlook Express. They can no longer be reached by Outlook Express.
   I happen to favor the simple organization of news groups over the organization of forums in general.
    Does anyone know if Corel plans to go back to posting the Forum posts in news group.

1. Let me add that it would be nice if the images from the Forum posts also appeared in the news group.
2. It would be absolutely wonderful if I could reply to Forum posts via a news group accessible from Outlook Express.

Hi P,

this should work OK for you. For ex, I posted this reply and the attachment via Outlook Express.

I prefer to use NNTP too. :-D

My NNTP also stopped working some days ago, without any reason, and I thought Corel had discontinued the NNTP support.

I checked my settings and noticed that the settings for Account name and Password had disappeared. Don't know how and why.

BTW, how come some groups show unread messages (NNTP) even if there are no unread left at all?
The PhotoPaint X4 group for example, always shows 1 message not read (or actually, not downloaded).

And Jeff, I can't send messages to these groups directly from Windows Mail. How did you manage to send from OE?

Ronny,

I can't answer why it does or doesn't work, but I always use Outlook Express
to visit/post in these groups. There was an issue a few days ago where I
couldn't read messages with attachments. I sent a quick note ot Gerard about
it and it was fixed by the end of that day. Thanks Gerard!

I was able to see Jeff's attached graphic. Until recently, I couldn't see
most attachments. So I think that was something fixed recently. I've not
tried to post with an attachment from OE, but I'm guessing that has also
been fixed.

Overall I'm thrilled that we have the choice of how to visit the groups.
Those who want the painfully slow Web-based method can have it. Those of us
who prefer to breeze through lots of messages with a news reader can have it
our way.

It's a bug, Ronny - albeit I don't know if it's a bug in OE or some setting
on the server its pulling info from (I'm presuming it's the server)
