I am, for example, posting movie posters that have a frame around them. I want to select a color within the movie poster image and then use the fill tool (the spilling can of paint) to fill the frame around the image with that color. I know how to select a color with the eyedropper from the pallette but when I use the eyedropper to select a color from the image, it won't fill with that color. Thanks for your help.
Here are some steps:
Thank you Jeff, I am kind of new to it so I will, try and find the method you did by watching closely here. I thought there might be something as easy as clicking on the eyedropper, selecting a color, and then just clicking on the area of the photo. When I go to "edit" and then "fill" I onl;y get a solid color, not my graphic, and it's so small I can't click the area, what you show is a pretty large frame around the Logan's Run, but mine is pretty thin.
Got it Jeff, thank you so much, I tried everything for hours, lol. You would think it would be an easier route, like selecting the eyedropper, then the color you want, and then the fill tool (paint bucket).
Ok, glad you got it figured. :-)
