Did you use Page Sorter View in CorelDraw before they removed changed it to Page View docker? Those were great times. Why the heck would they fix something that ain't broken???
I believe the Pages docker can do pretty much everything that the old Page Sorter View could. What exactly are you missing?Tip: Make the Pages docker float and assign a shortcut key to easily open/close.
It seems to perform much slower when processing each page. Also, if you rename the page, it does not show in the pages docker. Thanks for the tip though, very cool.
I opened a 4,16-, 24- and 36-page document, I can rename from the page tab and it shows up in the sorter docker immediately. The docker on my system works quickly and in a very stable fashion. It makes working with complex multi-page files faster especially when the document has multi-side bleeds, has more than 4 colors, die strikes and must be reconfigured to single page format for output.
I'm running a Windows 10 Pro desktop with 64GB of RAM.
I think the docker works pretty fast, and I can not say I have seen any problems when changing page names. There is one thing though, that is by design but I don't know why: If you choose to show the Thumbnail preview (which is natural if you want to mimic the Page Sorter View), the page names don't show, only numbers. We have to switch to List view to get the names.
I have several views available, single page, multipage, grid, vertical, horizontal and custom. The page name shows in all views, I can change it from the page tab or in the docker itself, and it changes immediately in the docker. It's fast and functions as I expect.
I'm running build 25.0.0.230
Here's what I get in build 25.0.0.230I can change the names from page tabs, Objects docker or Pages docker, but I only see page numbers in the Pages docker when I choose Thumbnail preview.Same thing if it is docked or floating.
So the docker as shown in the first capture (I assume horizontal view) fails to list the page name for you weird!
Out with the wife today so I'll try and replicate it. It worked for me yesterday. I'm running a 27" 4K display.
