Did you use Page Sorter View in CorelDraw before they removed changed it to Page View docker? Those were great times. Why the heck would they fix something that ain't broken???
I believe the Pages docker can do pretty much everything that the old Page Sorter View could. What exactly are you missing?Tip: Make the Pages docker float and assign a shortcut key to easily open/close.
It seems to perform much slower when processing each page. Also, if you rename the page, it does not show in the pages docker. Thanks for the tip though, very cool.
Here's what I get in build 25.0.0.230I can change the names from page tabs, Objects docker or Pages docker, but I only see page numbers in the Pages docker when I choose Thumbnail preview.Same thing if it is docked or floating.
I have no idea what's up, on my system whether I'm in single page view or multi page view when I change the page name it shows up on the page tab, the pages docker and the objects docker in either multi page or single page view.
This is a 24 page document and I tried single page and multi page views, I work with the docker as designed I do not pull it out and make it float.
This capture was done as well from single page view and it shows the objects docker.
I think you misunderstood, David. The missing names problem appears when you change to "Thumbnail preview" in the Pages docker, it doesn't make any difference if the docker is floating or docked.Single page view or Multipage view has nothing to do with it either.Try again but click the button marked in the screenshots below to switch from default "List view" to "Thumbnail preview". The thumbnail preview mode can be used to mimic the old Page Sorter View, for those who want it,and being able to see the names would be really helpful.
I see the Thumbnail preview but as I don't speak Canadian, I don't understand its purpose.
Simply turn on multipage view, you already have a full screen display of all the pages showing the page numbers and the names, then you can move your pages using docker or just drag the page tabs at the bottom of the interface to move pages. The page tabs can scroll as well as the pages docker for page placement.
The pages move on the full screen display and in the docker with names intact.
In my opinion Corel should have dumped the thumbnail preview selection as thumbnails are on in the docker by default.
Utilizing the multipage view you can not only sort pages you can move copy from one page to another.
I'm not sure the page sorter of old would alow you to move copy from page to page.

The fact that you don't understand isn't a valid reason not to have a working thumbnail view. The OP asked about the old Page Sorter View and part of its functionality was the ability to show all pages in a window with large page thumbnails properly lined up in rows and columns, just like we can do in an ordinary Explorer window. Some people (me too, most of the times) like to be able to easily see and move/copy pages without going through a list.Compare the two view modes in a floating Pages docker with reasonable (easy recognizable) thumbnail size. You can easily get more than twenty in Thumbnail preview, while the List view shows maybe five or six without scrolling.
The new view allows you to move copy from one page to another. I'll have to look into its ability to move multiple pages.
The new view allows you to select multiple pages and it will scroll automatically simply by continuing to hold the mouse button once the scroll starts.
In thumbnail preview you can also grab a bunch of pages and move them, it just doesn't have the page names, it does have the numbers, if you use thumbnail preview along with multipage view you have a full-page preview of the page numbers as well as the page numbers and you can move them in the thumbnail preview.
The pages docker works well if people can't adapt that's their problem.

The Pages docker works well, that is true, but if it was meant to replace the Page Sorter View it has to be perfect in every detail. And the fact that you don't understand how to use a specific feature to its full potential, doesn't mean that the rest of us should accept bugs or bad design.
