X6 Graphics Suite

Originally installed 64bit X6 GS.  Now to many lockups and errors.  What is the easiest way to install the 32bit X6 GS over the 64bit version?

  • on your DVD you will have two folders called x86 and x64, choose x86 and select Setup

  • Hello loosefoot; I have X4,X6 and X7 installed on this computer, With out any problems at all. I had the 32 and 64 bit installed of X6 at the same time when the scanner drivers weren't up to date for 64 bit computers, using the 32 bit for scanning into Corel then saving the file and opening the 64 bit ver. and the file. So yes you can have both installed at the same time, just keep in mind that you only get 3 installs of the program per ver.. But it may be better to Find out Why the 64 bit isn't working on your computer, you'll probably have other problems until you figure out what wrong with the computer. Why not tell us what it's doing and see it we can come up with something that may help you.
The 64 bit ver. is a LOT faster than the 32 bit. ( they both do the same job.)

  • Unless there is something really strange with your system, or you have printers or scanners that do not have good 64 bit drivers. you should not be getting lockups and errors in the 64 bit version of X6.

Did you install the updates? Help > updates will tell you if you are missing any. Also check for windows updates and install the latest version of .net.

Apart from that, you should try emptying the windows %temp% folder (either after a reboot, or use a program like cCleaner) and try to reduce the number of simultaneously installed fonts.
