Hi, I am a new forum user but an old corel user.
We have several work stations using coreldrawX6 (graphics suite), and we wanted to have all parties able to share typefaces/fonts. We currently use Bitstream Navigator and have all the new fonts (outside of the standard typefaces that came with the PC) downloaded into a separate folder on our server that everyone has access to.
Problem: Fonts that are being read from the server through BitStream are not being read correctly or at all. The experience that each user is having will vary. Some users can use the typeface but cannot see/use all of the fonts in the typeface. Others will open files with substitutions even though the typeface has been added through Bitstream. Still other files will open files and will not be notified that there was a substitution.
I'm hopeful that someone in the forum has had a similar experience. We were recently made aware that storing added typefaces/fonts on a server may be the issue.
What type of fonts are not being recognized?

No it means that I'm experienced with the failures of all font managers, so I only use them to view fonts and load them through Windows only. This while admitting defeat on the font manager front has a certain amount of sanity since with 64 bit systems I have more RAM than God.
