My workspaces in both Draw and Paint have taken on a cream/yellowish tint. The surrounding bars still show white.
I seem to remember reading about this problem before but can't find the pertinent threads.

The ICC profile Windows has associated with your display is incorrect, at http://graphictechnology.com/videos.html you'll find a video about Windows calibration that will help with finding share to find the dialogs.
Go to www.graphictechnology.com and there is a video link that a ton of people have used, it's on calibrating Windows display and it shows you the dialogs and how to access the profiles. Most likely the display profile got updated during a Windows update and is corrupt. You can temporarily set for sRGB and search for a replacement.
This is simple to do.
