Why do full screen preview takes desktop background colour?

Hi Friends,

Pls. suggest the possible solution for dealing with the full screen preview mode in CorelDraw x7. The charm of customising desktop colour becomes futile when we use full screen mode for preview using F9. It takes custom desktop colour on the full screen page background. In my opinion it should retain the default page colour as a background for full screen preview unless the page background is opted for. We loose the previewing functionality for the desktop colour. As expected it does not preview objects placed on the desktop in full screen preview mode, then why should it take its colour.

Thanks for your time.

Anil.

  • I'm not getting that problem here. Here's my F9 preview of a simple rectangle on a no-background page against a grey desktop:

But just wondering whether you the export background setting turned off -- I guess it could possibly affect things.

Other than that, is this a CDR file that began life in an earlier version?

    • Hello,

Thanks for your response. I have attached below the normal and full screen views of a fresh CDGS x7 file and Background option dialogue box screen shots.

      Regards,

      Anil.

      • Your settings and version are the same as mine. The main difference is that I'm using windows 7.

Perhaps somebody else with win 8.1 could test this and let us know the results.

        • I get what Harry gets and I'm using Windows 8.1 64-bit.

I think this is the second time I have ever used full-screen preview on purpose in, well, forever. Seems to work.
