I'm trying to draw a star in CorelDraw 7. I used the polygon tool to draw a pentagon, then expanded it into a star. When I try to fill the star, only the outer points fill; the inner pentagon stays white. Any suggestions?
Do you have 2 stars? One outer and one inner and a blend from one to the other?
I'm not sure about your version, but the Corel2021 version I'm using has a tool to draw a star. It is a sub-choice of the polygon tool (click and hold the polygon tool for a sec to see it) that should treat you better. If your version doesn't that, the only other thing I can think of is ctrl-q to convert your star to a normal vector (instead of a polygon) and then weld it to itself. Hopefully that'll get rid of the unfilled region in the middle.
I'm using a really old version 7, from the late 90's - haha! I would def be interested in a later but not latEST version for sale at a discount! I bought Sony Vegas Movie Studio 11 that way.
Anyway, that didn't work, but your suggestion got me digging and I found out how to do it. Double click on the polygon tool and the "polygon toolbox" comes up. There's an option for a regular polygon or a star. That star worked. The way I drew my stars from the polygon tool the other day gave me that red mess you see above.
Thanks for the kick in the pants!
