Is it possible to create a macro that grabs the contents of a labelled text object and pass it onto the page name? Example below. Here I want the text object to have the label 'sku'.
ActivePage.Name = ActivePage.FindShape("sku").Text.Story
That's making some assumptions:
So, that line of code could work, but it would require more effort if you wanted to make it "safe".
That works!
I'd like to try this edit out but I don't have it set right just yet.
ActivePage.Name = ActivePage.Name = "__" + FindShape("sku").Text.Story
I want to add a __ just before the page name so that it helps see it better.
This one adds a space; replace that with an underscore if you prefer:
ActivePage.Name = " " & ActivePage.FindShape("sku").Text.Story
Perfect. Thanks so much. That was easier than I thought.
Hey, is there a way to set the code to change areas of the page label like this? The main part I'm having trouble with is the page number sequence shown here as "3". The macro will run and grab the sku label from the page and insert it as shown but the page number is at the end as shown.
