This wiki page will include the guidelines for the community challenges - Community Challenges
Here are a few ideas to get the guidelines going:
CorelDRAW and PHOTO-PAINT users span a wide range of ages, cultures, industries, and levels of ability. This group allows them to participate in creating artwork within a certain theme per thread. Readers may also simply observe the results of others.
Every member of the community can post challenges.
Users who feel they've accomplished something unusual, attractive, or noteworthy with CorelDRAW or PHOTO-PAINT can post images. Others will attempt to rebuild your artwork or create something in a similar theme. By doing so, users broaden their horizons and skill set by using tools or creating design elements that they normally might not.
When posting new challenges, upload intermediate or advanced level artwork from your use of CorelDRAW and/or PHOTO-PAINT (state which of these was used so that others can attempt artwork in the same program(s)).
TIP: If your artwork is uploaded as a bitmap (GIF, JPG, PNG), the largest dimension (width or height) per image should be 650 pixels. Then it'll fit into the forum area without scaling downwards. These images will also download quickly for all users.
This is not a design feedback forum, nor is it for design requests.
Do not offer discouraging feedback on anyone's submissions, as everyone has different levels of ability.
Participants may share steps, techniques and source files that they used to achieve their own results, but are not obligated to.
Every post remains copyrighted by the person who uploaded the file and cannot be used without his / her authorization. And remember that the terms & conditions as well as the user guidelines of CorelDRAW.com also apply.
From time to time, Gérard will give away copies of the "CorelDRAW X4 Official Guide" book from McGraw Hill to those who participated in the challenges. There is no guarantee that you will get a book if you participate, and the selection of who gets a book / how many are given out are completely up to Gérard. This is not a contest and is not officially endorsed by Corel.
