How do I make a macro easily accessible

You can assign any macro to a shortcut key, menu item or toolbar button.

To do this open up the options page (Ctrl+j) and navigate to Workspace>Customization>Commands.  Select Macros in the dropdown located above the command items.

You can drag the desired macro onto any property bar or menu.  Also, in the shortcut keys tab you can assign a shortcut key.
