• CorelCAD tip: Printing to scale

    Setting up a CAD file for printing or publishing (to PDF or any other media type) is usually done by creating layout sheets that have a defined paper size and host view(s) to the model space together with other information (annotations, plan footer etc.).

    The scale of the model views displayed in a layout sheet is specified as a property of the viewport so that you operate with precise scale all the time.

  • CorelCAD tip: drawing precisely with dynamic input and polar guides

    In the video tutorial "2D drafting with coordinates", Suzanne Smith describes different methods to draw objects using the command window for coordinate value entries.

    With absolute or relative x,y(,z) coordinates and/ or angles you can draw nodes and segments of objects very precisely.

  • Navigating 3D - 3Dconnexion input device support

    Did you know that CorelCAD for Windows supports 3D input devices?

    With the "November 2011 Update" CorelCAD now supports 3Dconnexion devices.

    When you connect your 3D mouse and then start CorelCAD, you may need to add the “3D Mouse” menu to the UI if it’s not displayed automatically.

    Use the Tools > “Customize Interface…” dialog for that.
