Imagine you have an already inked and scanned drawing you'd like to colour. The common way is to trace it by using Corel PowerTRACE with Outline Trace settings to get clean line art. This line art should be placed on a separate layer, which you can make invisible. You can also use the Centerline > Line Drawing method to trace a copy of your drawing. Next, you can use the Smart Fill Tool to fill the holes outlined by the centerline-traced lines.

The advantage of this coloring technique is that your line art will always overlap the edges, and there will be no gaps between fill and line art. Such gaps can be very frustrating if you use a bitmap-editing application such as Corel PHOTO-PAINT for coloring because of soft faded edges due to antialiasing. Now you don't have to worry about gaps anymore...The problem areas will be covered by the outline-traced line art.
