For certain jobs, templates can be a big time-saver. For example, if you're creating envelopes of a non-standard size that require a layout that allows for post-printing die cutting, you can save the envelope design as a template file (CDT). The next time you want to create an envelope of that size, you simply have to click File > New From Template, and choose the envelope template you created. CorelDRAW® opens a new document with all the content of the template file, giving you all the common elements required for the job. To create a template from any file you're working on, click File > Save As Template.
