As a follow-up to my post a few days ago, Microsoft has released an updated version of the Microsoft update MS12-078/KB 2753842. It is available both through the MS web site and through Windows Update. Out initial tests indicate that the updated update has fixed the problem and that text is no longer disappearing in CorelDRAW. We will continue our tests over the next few hours, and please let us know if this has resolved your problem.

As a reminder, A recently release Windows update from Microsoft had a side impact on multiple software applications, including various versions of CorelDRAW and Corel Painter, as well as software from other software vendors. In CorelDRAW, the effect of this update has been for certain fonts to dissapear in your .CDR documents. Corel has been working closely with Microsoft to get this problem resolved as quickly as possible.

  • After having problem that some of the fonts are not displaying, I uninstalled the CorelDraw X5 and reinstalled and it was not starting. Then I read the post about the windows update "KB2753842" I uninstalled this update, modified/repair the CorelDraw X5 it shows the corel draw starting and goes in a long wait.

Then i allowed the update and then again repaired corel but nothing is working.
