Hi everyone, I've been having serious problems lately trying to import PDF files with text inside.
The file is opened normally but the formatting of the texts is completely wrong making it unusable. I would like to know if there have been other reports and if there is a solution to the problem. The most absurd thing is that a free program like InkScape imports them perfectly and maintains the correct formatting -_-...I thank you for your help.
Does Inkscape important as editable text?
Yes, the text remain editable-
I'd be curious to see if this is a line spacing issue. I've noticed that when importing pdf's that were possibly created with MS programs that they use points for line spacing. I hate using points. I have a macro that will convert line spacing of all text to percentages instead. Corel's default is 100%. Usually fixes things or at least gets me closer. If it's too much of a pain to fix a text heavy pdf I'll resort to importing with text as curves.
Yep, I agree with Myron on this. Line spacing is the culprit!

Things seem to be going off the rails when the text changes to a different typeface.
Several separate pieces of text that should be "spread out" horizontally within a line of text are all instead "piled up" on the left hand side.
