I'm speccing up a new PC and I need to know whats currently good for running CorelDraw. I suspect Draw makes little or no use of GPU so a fast gaming card might be of little benefit.Nearly every PC i try Draw on suffers from page tearing when panning, so I need to know from users whether their graphics card does the same.
Can you please test your graphics capabilty for me?
Open a file with a mix of objects, no need for it to be overly complex or bitmap heavy.
Zoom in and then pan either using the mouse or use the 'N' key
Do you get smooth panning or does the display 'tear' as you pan?
If yours doesnt could you then tell me what graphics card model and memory you have and what processor you are running
Many thanks in advance.
Can you describe in more detail what you mean by, "tearing"?
Are you referring to something other than a delay before previously out-of-view content is first displayed when panning brings that content into view?
Yes the refresh rate when panning isn't anywhere near fast enough to keep up with movement. If you pan slowly the image looks like it is torn, huge jaggies. If you pan quickly you get a blank screen until you stop panning. Seems to be better with physically smaller drawings i.e A4, but anything A1 and above its poor.
