Setting up a new computer and running into an issue i have not seen before...
when the mouse pointer is pointing at menu items, color palettes, dockers, etc. the mouse pointer size is normal.
however, when i put the mouse pointer in the document area it triples in size, making it almost unusable.
admittedly, i am using a Wacom Cintiq which often introduces it's own issues, but i have never seen this before.
i thought it might have been a corrupted workspace, but when i change it to the default it still occurs.
Any suggestions?
tried the ol' f8, no luck
and, i've noticed, the 'modify' portion of the install/uninstall of the corel app, where before you could have it do a repair install, is grayed out
I see that, too, in "Apps and Features" in Windows 10. Isn't Windows 10 simply grand?
You can run Setup.exe - for me, it's in the C:\Program Files\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2020\Setup folder - and get to the repair option.
For what it's worth, in Windows 10, you can also still get to the old, familiar "Progams and Features" . One way to get there is through the Control Panel.
thanks, man! yeah, i did some poking around and found the setup.exe earlier today; did a repair, no luck.
It's maddening! The tool bar areas appear normal, the mouse is huge, and the macro windows are tiny. It's like there are 3 different resolution settings going on at once...
though i do not know why, but i wonder if this is because this is my first time to work with windows 10 PRO. ...?
well, i just tried reducing the resolution of the monitor about 1/3 and now the mouse pointer is appearing normal; also, macro windows, which were showing as tiny, are now back to normal. so i guess for now i will just live with a lower resolution until Windows/Corel start playing well with each other. Tis a shame, that was one of the things i loved most some years back when i upgraded my Cintiq to the Pro 24"...was the higher resolution
