I want to set 5-6 presets for Nudge distance, I dont want to go to Property Bar and change the units and the value, Just with my preset i can set change the value i need, So is there anyway to make presets for nudge distance. Thanks
It doesn't work exactly the same as Nudge, but my Mover macro can be used to move objects horizontally or vertically (or both).
The list of values in each combobox can be customized by the user, so it can remember a list of preferred values.
Not a recommended method but I assigned alt+n as a shortcut to the nudge input box. Could assign your own and use SendKeys options.
Sub NudgeHalfIn()
SendKeys "%(n)" 'alt+n
SendKeys "(.5)" 'nudge distance
SendKeys "{Enter}"
End Sub
Looks did not work for me
The ability to "open a value box next to the cursor" is a very useful Draw feature that I think is unknown (undocumented?) to most users.I have assigned shortcut keys to bring up the Position (Shift+X), Size (Shift+Z), Rotate (Shift+R), Scale (Shift+%) and Page Size (Shift+D) boxes and use them all the time, especially, Size, Position and Page Size.Didn't know it was possible to do with Nudge distance but apparently it is. Thanks Myron.For those interested: Right click the "Nudge distance" icon in Property Bar, select Customize > Toolbar item > Properties... and choose a suitable shortcut key in the options dialog.
Take a snip of where its fails in the macro editor and paste here.
