I've got CGS 2020 on two Windows 11 Pro workstations. Each one is unable to save files due to this file was modified by another user error. I check our server and it shows the workstations as the only instance of the file being open. Even if the file isn't showing as open in Corel, the file cannot be saved until Corel is forced closed. Anybody else run into this and hopefully found a solution?
I have seen it too now and then.Only solution seems to be to save with another name, reboot, then open and overwrite the original file.
Sadly the two workstation affected are dealing with it multiple times a day. Rebooting multiple times a day just to keep working is not a sustainable situation. I'm tempted to upgrade but I feel it will be another of those lingering problems that never really go away. Plus I still don't trust Corel after they messed up the font handling with the un-numbered version. The two designers with the issue are both on Windows 11 so I was thinking it might be related. Are you on Windows 11?
it's a Windows issue, sometimes it's just because the Preview of the file is already open in Windows Explorer, and Windows consider it as "another user", then you must preview another file before save or modify the file.
