Microsoft is becoming more and more a pain in the a.... Win 11 is nagging the user with even more "advantages and reliefs", compared to Win10.
I don't want to have Win 11 on my PC and would like to get rid of _Win 10. And no - WINE is no alternative.
I would like to use my CDR with Linux to get rid of Microsoft!
So Corel, are the any plans for a Linux-Release of CDR? Please say yes..... ;-)
Yes. Support Linux. Either that or we just need to get CMYK and Pantone in Inkscape.
Corel tried that over 2 decades ago, it fell flat on its face then it will do the same today.
Wasn't that project bought out and deliberately canceled, and that's why you don't hear much about it?
In any case, small business / casual users like me are just looking for a solution that doesn't seem to exist right now. But it could come from anywhere, and can be a paid app, Vectornator, Affinity Designer, Figma, Inkscape, whatever.
The subscription model just doesn't work for people who use the software off and on, or just need to archive past projects. So we keep looking and hoping... keeping any eye on products and pricing as they improve.
No you don't hear much about if because there are not enough Linux users in the world to break even on the investment.
