Corel Photo-PAINT 2023 doesn't come with a third swatch for background color. This is driving me nuts! Whenever I create a new document, my border color is getting reset.
Who came up with this poor idea? Is there a way to regain a separate background color swatch?
Your background color is turned off.
Nope. Background is turned on:
… as you may see from the white background of the image in the animation.
Ok, on the, 2023 capture, last icon above the + symbol. Both swatches are set to red.
Yes they changed how you do it but double click it and set your color, not the icon the arrow allows you to switch fron to blackmore back to front.
I'm talking about this little fellow here:
X8 is an eon ago, what does that little fellow do for you?
When you start a document you can set a background color, on the objects docker you can set the background to transparent which has the original background color as an object, (top of the objects dockerfare right icon). I believe you can change the original background color even after the document has been created.o
In the icon above the + sign you can set the fill color ( background color) and the outline color (foreground color) of any object you draw. Once set and drawn the property bar activates.
The issue is that I generally use another border color than a background color.
My main task is to write bug reports. This is done using red squares and red arrows – on white background.
Until now, I didn't have to re-assign the border color each and every time I'm creating a new document.
It doesn't make sense to intermingle border and background color. Background color is meant to be used by the eraser tool only. What's the eraser tool using now? Border color..?
With 2023, this becomes a heck of back-and-forth color assignments.
I'm busy this AM but I'm betting that if you click the + symbol you'll find that tool icon you're looking for. I can check this afternoon.
