I have two problems.
We print, laminate, and contour cut vehicle graphics and decals.
We have been having problems with Draw vector exports for quite some time and I'm tired of it!
When I export a vector PDF (and sometimes EPS) files, Draw fails to include many small straight lines, usually in various text characters (see attached photo).
It happens with any font.
I contour cut with Summa Cutter Control or Winplot.
I prefer Cutter Control and WinPlot will not cut EPS files.
When my plotter does not cut all of these small lines, I have to go back as examine every decal and hand cut the little pieces that were missed.
This is time consuming and maddening and when I miss one, the vinyl tears during weeding.
The other problem I have is whenever I drag out a guideline onto the desktop, Draw crashes!
Does anybody have similar experiences and/or fixes for these problems.
I've been using Draw for 18 years and I'm too old to learn Illustrator!!
Your help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks again,
Mike

Don't think I've ever seen anything like that.Could you please send a simple CDR and a PDF exported from that file, so we can see what is happening. You need to zip the CDR to post it here.
Regarding the guideline issue, maybe you could try to reset your workspace to see if it helps?
Never had this problem but then again, I'm still using X7. Are you creating the layer structure within corel then exporting for plot or exporting the file first then using other software to set up the plot parameters i.e. registration marks, layers etc.?
I use corel to set up everything using various macros I've created. 1 macro makes the reg marks I need, as well as, a cut rectangle, "Cut" layer and registration layer. I then select shapes that are solid color and use another macro to set up a cut lines for those shapes, as well as, a bleed outline. Once I get it all setup I drop it in the print queue for our print tech to sort and print as required. When it come time to plot I open up the corel file from the print RIP station to plot with a plugin

I use three layers. One is Print, one is Contour, and one is my Reggies. I turn off the print layer when I create my Contour file using the other two layers. I turn off my Contour layer and use the other two to create my print PDF. I don't use any macros except the one to create my SUMMA registration marks.
