Is anyone else's powerclip contents disappearing randomly? It's driving me NUTS!!!
Yes, I have the latest version of CorelDraw.
One day, we'll be paying customers, not beta testers... oh wait...
Everybody who experiences this issue, please contact our support by opening a new ticket on corel.com - > Support -> Submit a ticket.Thanks.
Once you discover the issue please post it here.
This is either system specific or process specific.
If you write every step you take precisely I can try and duplicate this.
For example I never use the X in the frame. Something as simple as that could be the issue.
Hi David,
Here are the simplified steps:
- Start with a rectangle and two images (Screen cap 1)
- Select Image 1 and power clip it to the rectangle
- Duplicate the powerclipped rectangle and move it to the side (2)
- Select the 2nd rectangle, open Edit Powerclip and delete the image (3)
- Select the 2nd image and powerclip it to the empty rectangle (4)
- Select both rectangles, press the down arrow key several times to move them
- Image 2 disappeared (5)
- If it does not disappear, try the up arrow key several times
- In my PC, the up arrow key causes the disappearance easier than the down arrow key.
Have fun!
I followed you steps with the X removed from the powerclip frame, I cannot replicate the issue. What I do notice is the system busy indicator spins but as soon as I shake the mouse it stops. Also the add content to powerclip being turned off does not work
Here are my powerclip settings.
Please turn on "When content is completely outside frame" and try again.
Works as expected with the when content is completely outside of frame is selected.
Are you running Win11? I'm running Win10 Pro, 22H2. Could this problem happens only in Win10?
The situation is getting worse here, DRAW is now crashing soon after the 2nd image vanished.
We're on Win 11, and I just lost hours worth of work, so I thought I'd come look here to see if anything has been resolved. No luck, I guess... at this pace, we're going to HAVE to look at Adobe alternatives... and trust me, I don't want to deal with that can of worms.
Windows 10 Pro 22H2
That is so odd, I have even tested old files with powerclip problems and no issues on my end.
Looks like this problem has been fixed in CGS2024 (25.0.0.230) which was released on March 4th.
I repeated my tests with CGS2024, the photo did not disappear.
