I've been messing around with AI applications like Stable Diffusion, Picsart, and Lunapic. Lunapic has been incredible at object removal and cuts editing down to a fraction of the amount of time it would take for me to remove things like trees, light poles, or existing signs from an image. Does Corel have any plans of adding something like this?
AI is the most harmful invention after "Little Boy" in the history.Vision FX
I use the AI upsampling in Corel Photo-PAINT and PaintShop Pro. It is very good.
The AI noise reduction has not persuaded me to spend my money yet. It's like installing a screw with a hammer.
The remove object feature in Photoshop has not impressed me. I have clients that use it as their first high resolution image edits go to the web but the same image requires reworking to go to print. The AIbworks because you can't see crap in a browser, let alone a tablet or phone.
You know why I don't like AI?Because it "kills" human talent. With the help of AI, anyone can become a graphic designer in a few minutes. + AI can fake anything in the digital world and can cause a lot of damage to humanity.
Yes, he can do a lot of good, but more bad. The AI upsampling in Corel Photo-PAINT is a limited AI.
I have not been impressed by various "AI" features incorporated into graphics applications like Photoshop and Illustrator. A bunch of the stuff is not production quality. The imagery tends to have all sorts of errors, especially when generating images of people. There is an "uncanny valley" vibe to so much of it, even if there aren't glaring errors, like hands that have seven contorted fingers.Still, I do see "AI" as a very very severe threat to millions of jobs. While the tools may not generate "production quality" imagery to my standards there are plenty of employers who will deem these flawed tools and their flawed results as "good enough." They'll accept the goofed up imagery as the new industry standard. All just to save some money on payroll.Aside from creative jobs, there are countless numbers of other white collar type jobs that are under threat by "AI" based tools. I'm afraid we might be on a severe, sudden bump of race to the bottom economics. America's economy is already in a seriously not-sustainable condition. Job losses to AI-automation could be a catalyst that finally helps burst the price bubble in America's hyper-inflated housing market.
I agree, the only AI tool I use (and then with caution) is up sampling. The new AI tools in Photoshop like the remove or is it called replace object is awful most times. That crap works ok on web where stuff is viewed in browsers but not on media.
