Program crashes unexpectedly while performing various tasks (e.g., saving, printing, copying, pasting, etc., etc.). So far no tweaks suggested by Corel tech support over the last 3 months have resolved the problem. I exclusively use CorelDRAW to make life/safety diagrams of medical facilities. Typical workflow is to import PDF of existing diagram, ungroup, edit, save, and export new diagram to PDF for distribution. I am an experienced CDGS user, and am using a new Dell computer (plenty of RAM, good GPU, Windows 11, and all the software is up to date. Crashes less often when I perform my edits at a snail’s pace, but even then it crashes unexpectedly…seems like the program is having a problem managing multi-tasks. I’m sure that other CorelDRAW users have experienced this problem and hopefully found a solution. I joined the CorelDRAW community to find a solution. HELP!
What do you consider to be plenty of RAM, a good GPU?
I use a Dell Vostro 3710 x64-based PC, Windows 11 Pro, 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12400, 2500 MHz 6 cores 12 logical processors, 16 GB Ram, Intel UHD Graphics 730 w/1GB Ram.
Barely enough RAM, an old processor and inadequate video.
Prior to subscribing to 2023 I was running the 2018 version on an old Dell ATG laptop without having any stability or functional problems except that the program took a painfully long time to load. In 2023 I replaced my ATG with a new and far superior Dell Vostro PC and subscribed to CDGS 2023 - and that’s when the instability problems with CorelDRAW started. I know that the Vostro isn’t even close to graphics processing powerhouse, but it is far more than adequate to handle the work I’m doing with CorelDRAW and it exceeds CDGS system requirements. So I don’t believe that the CDGS instability problems I’m experiencing are related to the computer hardware. I am still interested in discovering a solution to the instability problem.
Enjoy yourself.
