Even though I reinstalled Coreldraw with windows shell extension, it is impossible to move jpg or pdf files from desktop into Coreldraw. The red prohibition symbol comes out. However, it doesn't happen to me on Coreldraw 2024 version prior to 2025. What could it be? Yet scripts and macros work. I don't understand what it could depend on
CorelDRAW version 25.0.0.230, I can drag JPG and PDF files from the desktop to the document with zero issues.
Yes i know. Right. But For me not work. This is the problem. And I would like to know why. I try to installa some framework. But maybe there is another way.
Ok finally solved. The problem was on the coreldraw launcher icon, in the accounting options. I had to uncheck the Run this program as administrator option. The flag was placed a few months ago to solve another problem which then never recurred. But apparently that flag only served to have another problem. I hope it can be useful to someone else in the future.
Thanks for the heads up, this must be a WIndows 11 thing as CorelDraw 2018 has been refusing to allow drag and drop for months. I no longer recall why I was running as admin but I turned it off and now D&D works fine, from anywhere. Now to try and see if the same logic applies to Outlook 2019 as thats been refusing for just ages too.Edit:- Outlook wasn't running with Admin privileges and turning it ON has resulted in D&D working again. Go figure!
Weird stuff! I'm going to be forced into Windows 11 in a bit over a year I better start taking notes.
Avoid it David, its rubbish. The current FU is deleted files do not disappear from the file listing in Explorer, you have to F5 to refresh. Really crap. And I, with my two big monitors, always had my task bar on the far right of the right hand monitor. Can't do that now. MS says NO.And don't get me started on Outlook.......grrrrrr.
I have about a year and a half before there is no more support for Windows 10. YUCK!
