Hi All,
I am hoping that somebody out there is willing to help me out, I have coreldrawx7 which I am using for lazer machine, I have had it for a year now but I am now looking at engraving photos onto wood. The problem I have is that I have watched a few videos on youtube but it just isn't looking right for me to use at all and when I try it don't look good at all.
Can anybody out there give me some advice on what to do and how to get the best possible picture I can so it looks good. I can crop the photo/turn greyscale etc to start but its getting it right in contrast enhancement etc to change the photo suitable for engraving, I know it can be done as I have seen some excellent quality images on worse than my machine I must just be missing something somewhere.
Any help from anybody would be great.
thank you so much
Dave
What type of laser are you using? I have both Xenetech and Epilog and have found the best method for photos is to do a Dither burn instead of a raster one.
Dave, it's a lot of trial and error to learn to engrave photos without using a photo processing software. But you can follow this tutorial on how to manually prepare photos for engraving www.golaserengraving.com/.../
