How do you draw an ellipse that has thick and thin lines?
I currently use Affinity Designer and I can achieve this simply by varying the pressure on the live using a Pressure tool.
In CorelDRAW, you drag around in the Object Properties, as attached:

You can apply Artistic Media Styles to your ellipse.
Do you have any control over their thickness?
if it's just one instance, two ellipses could do the trick. Convert to curves (Ctrl+Q), duplicate (press + on the numeric keypad) and move the upper node.
