I am going to be purchasing CorelDraw for a little t-shirt business. Does anyone have a recommendation for a desktop PC? I know the specs I need for storage and such, just looking for opinions.
Hell I run files over 3GB so no, 2GB may be ok for Corel but they didn't say how much you need to limit your work.
Corel's pretty easy on the requirements, but I could recommend picking up an ASUS RoG (Republic of Gaming) Laptop. They are really well priced and have really good hardware including dedicated video card etc. Get a laptop docker and it's a good setup. Probably find one with an i7 with 6-8 gig video card with up to 16 gigs ram for under 1k on Amazon. Just if you get one with a solid state dual drive make sure you don't load up your OS C: drive w/ Software, redirect them all to D drive.
Corel should be more realistic and tougher on published requirements or at least tell users the limitations . In the U.S. the small cost of and additional 16 GB of RAM, an SSD and a 8GB video card is made back in improved performance.
I get that the hobbyist does not want to spend but making money takes money and an additional $400 on a system is nothing.
I run an SSD and a secondary hard drive with a server for archived files. When is hear 2GB of RAM requirement I cringe, that's a joke and the user with less than 16 really pays the price.
Great, thanks!
Sorry Air Dave. I have more than 2 experiences. I just thought I didn't need to describe my full life experiences. Like I mentionned before. Those are MY experiences and I share them with you. And, I approve of David's 'notes' because they seem pretty alike with mine's.
