Hi. I'm new Corel and have very little time to do the tutorials to find the answer to this question. I'm making a bulletin board and each time I go to add color to a box I'm working with it comes out white or light-colored (faded) beginning on the left and then brightens and becomes nearly solid on the other side. I know it's got to be a setting that has somehow been selected that I don't want to use, but for the life of me, I can't find it to turn it off. Please help.
One "brute force" way to approach this is to hold down the F8 key when starting CorelDRAW. That should get you something like this:
Click on "Yes", and your current workspace will be reset to factory default settings.
Be aware that, if you have any workspace customization, this procedure would not preserve it!
Thanks. I'll make a copy of the workspace I'm using and give it a try. If it doesn't work, then no harm is done. If it does work, I'll likely be sending you a virtual hug for saving my sanity. Thanks!
I should add here that what I suggested might help for newly-created documents.
If you are having this problem in an existing document, though, it would not necessarily help.
My first thought is that it has to do with Default Object Properties for Graphic objects. You might have the default fill set to be a fountain fill. Or, you might have transparency set to be a fountain transparency.
