I need to be able to pull sequential serial numbers each time I open coreldraw and send to the laser for etching. I have a customer that buys in batches everyday and I need to be able to track the serial numbers already used so they don't get etched again. Is there a way to do this in CorelDraw? I have looked into the print merge feature, but I may be using it incorrectly as it doesn't appear to pull number sequentially and track what numbers have been used before.
Short answer, No, corel can't do that. I suggest sticking with the print merge option and add a little note in the file of what numbers were already used. Or title your folders by date and numbers used then create a new folder next time.
If I have a 16 bank fixture, is there a way to auto load a list of serial numbers and change them by clicking on it in the list? I assume this is what print merge does. I can get a list to load, but I can't cycle to the next number in the list easily. I usually don't create a new file each time I etch. I have a master template set up where all I will have to change are the serial numbers. Hopefully this makes sense.
