I just heard about something call High Dynamic Range imaging (HDR), but I don't see it listed as a feature in PhotoPaint X4.
HDR Photo Merge is listed as a new feature in Paint Shop Pro Photo X2.
Can PhotoPaint X4 be used for HDR images?
This is something I put on the list for the next version... the ability to automatically overlay in register multiple images from the same camera shots even when the images are not shot on a tripod. I've tried it using multiple exposures but unless they are taken iwth a tripod you really need to be serious and have time to burn to get registration.
You can get a lot out of this by using 2 images of different exposure and the softlight merge (at least that is what it's called in PS). I know of one photographer here that used 6 images in overlay (night shot of city) to great effect.
Discussion on this and how best to go about it I'd give 5 stars of importance.

Yes hard as to do manually but so easy to compute. We should really push to get that one on the list. If you use 'soft light' you can get away with a little miss registration. Maybe even soften the mask image it's not going to matter. Funny we should be discussing this as I was only playing with it last night. Maybe I have a bit more of a play with it tomorrow and post some images.
