To the folks at Corel. or a macro writer we need a menu choice for which bitmap editor to choose when editing in Corel draw.
We are once again uninstalling X7 because pp x7 now comes up when editing bitmaps in draw x6 and x5.
We use macros in both those versions that won't be updated we don't want to use ppx7 so uninstall is the answer.
Unfortunately we need the macros instead of features that should be built in.

There's no need to uninstall X7. All you should need to do is to do a repair install of whichever version you want your bitmaps to open in.
Or, you could set up a batch file to open CorelDraw and Photopaint together. If photopaint is already open, windows will use it to edit CorelDraw's bitmaps.
Hi Harry
repair doesn't work nor does setting windows default open with choices we edit files in their own versions ie x5 with pp5 x6 with pp6 and maybe x8 if we still use corel in colour work. Over time we have just run into too many color problems with version changes of files. Things like pantone palettes profiles etc. We are successful running a simple controlled environment we were running x5 x6 and x4 this way with no problems. I have found a macro solution for version x6

It works for X6, but then CDX7 opens PPX6 when you choose Edit Bitmap. Repair CDGSx7 and you're back where you started...round and round we go...
I've tried having CDX6 and PPX6 open, but when I choose Edit bitmap in CDX6 it still opens PPX7.
