Dear all,
when working on a catalogue, for example, with many individual photos, how do you import them so that I don't end up with files 500Mb-1Gb large?

2 schools of thought
1. resample files first - then import. Just be careful to keep the very original files safe somewhere else.
2. resample inside Draw after importing
Inexpensive tools like this one can bulk resample and change color models at once inside draw, even going into powerclips for you. Downsampling can introduce blurriness due to anti-aliasing. The tool has a sharpening feature to help restore detail.
The image resolution at placed size is directly related to the output destination of the file, import image, size image and under the bitmap menu resemble the image.
You can link images but that feature is buggy really bad.
