Select Control Curves

I think when I click any part of an Artistic Media stroke with the Shape tool, CorelDRAW should select the stroke's control curve.

Dig Select (Alt + click)

We should be able to dig select objects with the Shape tool. This should apply to dig selecting Artistic Media objects too.

Tip

How to select control curves of Artistic Media strokes from CorelHOUSE.

  • Brush Colors

I think we must have these options for coloring Artistic Media Brushes:

    1. Default Graphic Style
    2. Brush Original Colors
    3. Last Used Color

If I have to stick to one of these options only, I would choose the third; Last Used Color. I think Artistic Media Brushes should break the "Create then Color" system to adapt the traditional one; "Choose Color then Paint".

    Another possible option:

           4.   Separate palette for brushes in the Property Bar of Artistic Media Brush; choose a color and then paint.

    A Workaround

    1. Create a "palette" of CMX files in one folder.
    2. Browse the folder from the Artistic Media Property Bar (or the Artistic Media Docker).
    3. Choose a colored brush then "paint".

I coud not agree more..the usual method of working "Create then Color" is absolutly unartistical and unnatural, unpaiterish (if there is a word like that :)....and if it's not a bit too much, ill add that the whole creative process in draw is a little more technical, more similar to engeneering and technical drawing than artisan....

      my first request will be,

that there must be a panel that offers the user, color, transperancy and width of strokes prior to their selection, so there is a rapid change of color and width when drawing

and then i'll go again with the skeltal strokes, and the ability to rapidly create them, mark which parts of them will be repeatable (like spray in draw) and witch part will be deformable (like brush in draw)

(copy paste from my prev post:)

so let me dream a litle.....

here is a technical paper on skeletal brush strokes (used in creature house expression and currently microsoft expression design) and their implementtion (not that the guys from corel are not aware of what this technology may offer)

      http://mindlube.com/expression-forum/uist93.pdf

and of course...this will send corel way ahed adobe..which actually seem not to care, and microsoft who in this very moment are offering the most impressive illustrator product, but with hilarious interface and oriented towards web graphics (let's not forget that they never been a major player in the print industry)...so dream a little dream....
