I start this post thinking about the request for a new version. Not only "corrections" but one more step: How do ypu chage CorelDRAW to develop a more powerful program? what kind of features, programs, tools, effects, dou you want? 3D features? Web design? page layout? not only "the same of other programs", but think on something differnte: what other programs can't do, and what CorelDRAW can do differente.
I use CorelDraw to make illustrations for my consultant reports. Most involve maps and coordinates of objects. I would really like to have basic GIS functions for building GIS-based drawings. Nothing fancy. Now, I primarily use PhotoCapture to quickly get my data into CorelDraw. Occasionally, I will use a compatible export file type. I use ExpertGPS for my simple GIS needs. If things are serious, I use Manifold GIS. Neither program is suitable for quality technical graphics output. Most GIS programs are similar. If you started with GeoPDF and shapefile support, that would be much better than anything now available.
There are many other GIS systems out there: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geographic_information_system
The Maptitude Mapping Software is one that is comparably priced to Manifold but which comes with pre-styled maps and the ability to customize them. You can export the maps as enhanced meta-files for further vector editing in CorelDRAW, but unfortunately this export is not layered.
1) Round corners should be preserved to all the shapes in the coreldraw and not particularly for rectangle
2) Convert to Spot color should be brought forward either by possibly assign a shortcut or as a tool atleast
3) For a huge books consisitng of 100 above pages or more than that allow to split one large file into multiple documents and share among the users and got a feedback and combine them....something like

That's already exist
btw for big books what we need is a page layout program, such as Corel Ventura
My request is to put that feature into the coreldraw as everybody gets into that.
Get back of sharp edge after Scallop / fillet / chamfer is used or to get a sharp edge if any rounded corners of two nodes are selected
All the imported converted vectors are reverse curve direction command active while importing.
Coreldraw files should be password protected even when the file is opened and when suppose to edit it asks for to enter password to edit. Password protection include allow for printing, editing and only for viewing
