Oh. No not you Ram. What happened.
Also if you would like to use the built in file converter provided with X5 you can. Just make a small change in the frmFileConverter code..
Search for this line:
.AddItem Application.VersionMajor - 1
And add this line right under it:
.AddItem Application.VersionMajor - 2

A very unpardanable mistake i did that i saved all of my files to Corel X5 and now whatever the file i open it says out of memory, sometimes just by activating the OVERPRINT PREVIEW it hangs, and sometimes if paragraph linking is higher then it hangs, i really bother about coreldraw x5, and sometimes ( all the dialog number fields appeared to be active ) when i enter number it should not enter i have to select that field again and enter then it hangs..... oh my god its horrible..... i do not want coreldraw no more, i ll go for x3.
Hi.
Just to throw a little something in to this topic.
I have never saved an X5 version file. I still save all files in version 12 format. I use X5 and it works well; not sure if this down saving has anything to do with it.
Hello,
As an inexperienced user of CorelDraw X5, which I am learning how to use, I was curious as to why you would save your X5 files in version 12 format.
Could you say why you do that?
Regards.
HI.
I guess your talking to me since I do that and mentioned it earlier in this thread.
For my operation it suites me fine. Much of my workflow is automated and one reason is that I haven't gotten around to changing it. I don't use any of Draw's open, import, or save dialogs but rather my own custom ones in which the setting has been programmed. I also still use older versions of the software.
I have saved X5 files for testing but that's about it.
I'll probably make some changes when X6 is rolling smoothly.
