PhotoPaint Layers

Please make them lockable!

And if possible sortable into section folders.

Thanks

  • I completly agree with you these are both great suggestions. Another that i've mentioned before is to have Vector layers that remain vectors until rasterized and function more like the objects in draw with regards to fill, path, outline, shaping, transformations.

A better integration of raster work into  Draw should be most valuable. I suggested something like that in a previous post.

      • I agree with you better raster integration would be great. One suggestion i added earlier was to have an effects docker and make all effects non-destructable which could be accessed through this docker similar to Fireworks, Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, Canvas. Keep the effects editable and easily deleted or moved around.

        • Isn't that what "Lenses" do?

          • Hey Gadget,

Yes "Lenses" do work like that however if you've ever used Photoshop or Illustrator you'll know what i mean. Most of their effects are non-destructable and easily edited much like lenses.

            • ?? but effects are non-destructive, and easily editable : It applies the effect in a similar way to a transparency mask - you can erase and re-apply effects simply by editing the area the lens covers. The settings are remembered for each lens and you can adjust at will. They are objects that can be shuffled in the object manager... I'm not sure exactly what more you want it to do?

(other than the lockable and grouping thing)

              • I'm talking about the effects in the effects menu not the lenses which are limited. You are right the lenses do work in this way but not the effects where in illustrator and photoshop most of the effects work in this way similiar to the lenses.
