I completly agree with you these are both great suggestions. Another that i've mentioned before is to have Vector layers that remain vectors until rasterized and function more like the objects in draw with regards to fill, path, outline, shaping, transformations.

A better integration of raster work into Draw should be most valuable. I suggested something like that in a previous post.
I agree with you better raster integration would be great. One suggestion i added earlier was to have an effects docker and make all effects non-destructable which could be accessed through this docker similar to Fireworks, Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, Canvas. Keep the effects editable and easily deleted or moved around.
Isn't that what "Lenses" do?

Yes "Lenses" do work like that however if you've ever used Photoshop or Illustrator you'll know what i mean. Most of their effects are non-destructable and easily edited much like lenses.
