Vector Magic Tracing Technology in CorelDRAW

I tested several images in CorelDRAW X4, Adobe Illustrator CS3 and Vector Magic trace engines to compare the results.

Vector Magic was the clear winner in every comparison. I thought since Vector Magic is a free service offered by Stanford University that maybe corel would be wise to contact them about incorporating their technology in the next version of CorelDRAW or learning from their methods.

CorelTRACE came 2nd in some traces and 3rd in many as well. However, when it came to full colour hi-res photographs, illustrator was top choice several times.
