Hi guys , can someone tell me why CorelDraw X7 is only on Windows and not the Mac . Is it because Corel can not programme for mac, or did Corel fall out with Apple ?
Just do not understand , I have X6 on Windows and have had since the fist version of CorelDraw suite 6 . And have really enjoyed using for years . Just happens my wiffy wanted to get an iMac ,and you just can not understand the disappointment we have in finding out that version X7 is still ONLY Windows . I have tried many forums to find out if it would work with VM or parallel s . And I have not read a review yet to say they are happy running CorelDraw on Mac as of yet .
Would or could someone advise a good way of running CorelDraw X7 on the MAC please . .
Because there are not enough MAC users in the world to support the R&D cost to support the platform.
I don't understand what you mean? What competitive world? Apple Computer has shown the Mac user the future when they removed computer from their name. They sell music, phones and dongles now.
All desktop, laptop innovation is now firmly in the hands of Windows based systems. Globally all graphic growth is on the Windows platform. Not that there isn't an old Mac installed base, there is, but as I've said before it would require that nearly every Mac user buy CorelDRAW to pay for the R&D of a native Mac version.
So I don't see a Mac version being profitable for Corel.
Unfortunately there's always a catch. Corel does not support Parallels and Parallels doesn't support Corel.
I had a friend with that issue and he just installed Windows on the MAC as a dual boot I believe.
